Our Community Vision
Tales of Tradition and Unity
This year, we will create a program for residents in Singapore, regardless they are local, foreigner or
immigrants, to share stories about their culture, values, and friendships with individuals from diverse
backgrounds. It will also be a platform for people of diverse cultural background to understand and
embrace the cultures of each other by sharing through cultural workshops.
Storytelling traditions are prevalent in cultures worldwide, with each culture often having its unique style
and forms of storytelling. Despite of difference, all of them contributing to the collective human experience
of sharing stories, passing down knowledge, and preserving cultural heritage. Storytelling also serves as
a universal language that transcends boundaries, fosters empathy, promotes understanding, and
strengthens relationships among individuals and communities.
Cultural workshops play a vital role in promoting understanding and embracing diverse cultures by
providing interactive platforms for participants to engage in hands-on learning, discussions, and cultural
exchange. These workshops foster empathy, dispel stereotypes, and encourage respect for cultural
differences through meaningful dialogue and shared experiences. By celebrating cultural richness and
promoting inclusivity, workshops create lasting connections and collaborative environments that contribute
to building interconnected and harmonious societies, where diverse cultures are valued and celebrated as
sources of strength and enrichment.
